Summarize of the Video “Forgiveness”

We watched a video about a prisoner named Eric Smallridge and he was in prison because he was drinking and driving. While he was drinking and driving he killed two girls that he crashed into named Megan and Lisa. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison for killing these two girls. One of the victim’s mother Renee hated the man who killed her daughter for many years and then she realized something. She realized that holding a grudge for Eric Smallridge wouldn't do any good for her so she made a crazy decision. Renee went to the judge and told them that she would like to reduce Eric's sentence because she forgave him for what he did. She sent him a letter telling him why she did that and he wrote back to her many times apologizing for the horrible thing he did. Now they both go to high schools and talk about the consequences of drinking and driving. I thought that this video was great because it was very different and not something you would expect. I did not expect that she was going to fight for his sentence to be reduced.
