Home Health Aide
Duties
and Responsibilities: Monitors patient condition by observing physical and mental
condition, intake and output, and exercise. Supports patients by providing
housekeeping and laundry services; shopping for food and other household
requirements; preparing and serving meals and snacks; running errands. Assists
patients by providing personal services, such as, bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Helps patients care for themselves by teaching use of cane or walker, special
utensils to eat, special techniques and equipment for personal hygiene.
Salary:
$22,050 per year
Education:
Aides who work for
organizations that receive funds from Medicare or Medicaid must complete formal
training, while those who work for private companies do not have to meet these
obligations. On-the-job training is often provided by more experienced aides,
nursing assistants, licensed practical or registered nurses may provide this
training.
Reflection:
I would like to be a Home
Health Aide, because I like to help other people, but a like to helps old
people whose need.
